First Release!

Camera Remote is now available in the Windows Store!

Version 1 has remote trigger functionality, so requires you to set up your camera ready for the photo before enabling Wi-Fi on the camera.  Once Wi-Fi is enabled, connect the app and take the picture remotely!

It has been tested with the OM-D E-M1 model, but should also work with Wi-Fi enabled cameras from the PEN and STYLUS range.  So please let me know how you get on.

  1. You deserve serious praise for this app, as it begins to fill a big gap Olympus has left open on the Windows platform. It worked as advertised on my E-M1. If any/all of live view, AF, ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed can be enabled, this will be perfect! Many thanks for your work and I’ll try to spread the word.

  2. Thanks Kyle! I’m working on Live View at the moment. Olympus don’t seem to publish any interface documentation, and weren’t able to send any when I asked. However, I’ve made some good progress, and I’m hopeful I can get something working 🙂

  3. Works as advertised on my Lenovo Yoga Idea Pad and Olympus E-P5. If you could add live view, and basic camera controls (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) it would be even more useful, and I’d pay $5-$10 for it (depending on features). This can fill a great void for a useful tethering app when using a laptop.

Thanks for creating this, and good luck with future work!
